Water Resources Research Institute of the University of North Carolina Records 1959-1995

Collection contains correspondence, reports, brochures, promotional literature, and research announcements pertaining to issues concerning ground water, its quality, contamination, and related problems. Records include a proposal to form the Institute (1963). The Water Resources Research Institute identifies and supports research needed to help solve water quality and water resources problems in North Carolina and the region. It also provides information transfer on water-related issues through its publications, conferences, workshops, seminars and the WRRI-News electronic list. WRRI also partners with the NC Urban Water Consortium and Stormwater Group.
